Swords Fencing Academy Vancouver offers epée fencing instruction for all ages and skill levels, from young beginners to advanced adult fencers. We provide both private lessons and group classes, encouraging all students to do their best—whether they’re fencing for fun or aiming to compete at national and international levels. Sportsmanship is a core value, both on and off the strip.

Our academy is a welcoming community of fencers and families from diverse backgrounds. Under the guidance of Head Coach Tigran Shaginian, students train together, celebrate victories, and learn from setbacks. We support all our fencers, from novices to those competing in NCAA and World Cup events. At Swords, sportsmanship means respecting and appreciating each other’s efforts, no matter the outcome.

Many of our students compete at national and international levels, with several recruited by top fencing colleges. We offer classes at multiple locations across North America, with our main fencing studios based in Vancouver.
